Build My First Setup
Start Hammock Camping Here
A complete hammock camping setup usually comes down to a few key pieces: your hammock, your suspension, and weather protection. Start here and build the setup that fits how you camp.
1. Choose Your Hammock
Your hammock is the center of the setup. Start here if you need a netted hammock, netless hammock, beginner-friendly option, or a larger comfort-focused camping hammock.
2. Add Suspension
Suspension connects your hammock to the trees. Choose straps, buckles, carabiners, or lightweight options to match the way you want to camp.
3. Add Weather Protection
A rain tarp helps keep weather off your hammock and gives your campsite more protection when conditions change.
4. Add Insulation When Needed
Hammocks can feel cooler underneath because air moves below you. When nighttime temperatures drop, insulation helps keep your setup comfortable.
Not Sure Where to Start?
For most new hammock campers, start with a hammock, suspension, and rain tarp. Add insulation when cooler nighttime temperatures call for it.
