Hemlock Mountain Outdoors is committed to making our website and online shopping experience accessible and usable for everyone, including people with disabilities.

Accessibility is an ongoing part of how we maintain and improve our website. As our products, website, and technology evolve, we are working to identify and remove barriers that may make it difficult for someone to browse our gear, understand product information, configure a product, manage a shopping cart, or complete a purchase.

Our Accessibility Goal

Hemlock Mountain Outdoors is working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.

WCAG provides internationally recognized recommendations for making websites and digital content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.

Our current website has not yet undergone a complete independent WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance assessment. We are actively reviewing and improving the site as part of our ongoing accessibility work.

What We're Working On

Our accessibility efforts include reviewing and improving areas such as:

• Keyboard navigation and visible keyboard focus
• Screen-reader compatibility and meaningful page structure
• Alternative text for meaningful images
• Descriptive links, buttons, and controls
• Properly labeled forms and product options
• Color contrast and information that does not rely on color alone
• Text resizing, page zoom, and responsive layouts
• Accessible navigation, menus, dialogs, and interactive elements
• Product configuration and selection controls
• Cart and purchasing functionality
• Clear identification of errors and instructions for correcting them
• Accessibility across desktop and mobile devices

Accessibility is also being considered as we develop new website features and shopping tools so that accessibility is built into those experiences rather than treated solely as a later addition.

Third-Party Services and Content

Some parts of our website and purchasing experience may rely on technology or services provided by third parties, such as ecommerce, payment, media, application, or other service providers.

While we work to select and configure these services with accessibility in mind, some aspects of their accessibility may be outside our direct control. We continue to evaluate these integrations and will work to provide assistance or an alternative whenever reasonably possible if a third-party feature creates an accessibility barrier.
